2009's First fitness challenge begins Jan. 13

GOWEN FIELD, Boise, Idaho -- Beginning Jan. 13, you can resolve to get in shape, lose the weight and lose the excuses.
The next Gowen Field Health and Fitness Challenge is almost here and the timing couldn't be better. The 12-week program includes monthly body measurements to track your progress, health and fitness discussions every week, a pedometer and walk/run schedule, two free fitness classes and the option for more.
The cost for the challenge for all military members is $50 and $60 for all others. Unlimited discounted fitness classes for the fitness challenge participants will be offered, as well. The cost for the classes will be an additional $40 for all current members and $55 for all others making the total for both the challenge and the classes $90 and $115, respectively.
Registration for the fitness challenge will be Tuesday, Jan. 13 in Bldg. 665 located on Guard Street west of the helicopter and truck static display park. Measurements will be taken at 10 a.m. followed by a kick-off briefing at noon.
