New Year brings changes to State Tuition Assistance Program

Air Guard members taking advantage of the Idaho Air National Guard's hugely popular State Tuition Assistance Program are in for some changes this year that will allow the demand to be met.

Members now only need to turn in one tuition application with their grades at the end of each semester rather than filling out a form at the beginning and end of the semester. Please be sure to highlight, circle, or otherwise noticeably indicate which classes you wish to be paid for to avoid a delay in payment.

Currently, tuition assistance is paid out for up to 15 credit hours at a rate of $100 per credit. Anything above 15 hours will not be considered.

If you are applying for the first time, have moved since your last payment, or have had a name change, please be sure to fill out the W-9 Form on the back of the STAP application. You may submit an unofficial transcript, progress report, or any other record your institution issues for grade submission. Please do not submit an official transcript unless your institution offers no other alternative. Applications are paid on a first come, first served basis so be sure to get your grades in as soon as possible to ensure you will receive payment.

Since the Recruiting Office has recently been relocated to Bldg. 405, applications are available to be picked up or dropped off at both Bldg. 400 and Bldg. 405. A scanned version of the application is also available upon request.
