Environmental Safety Occupational Health Compliance Assessment Management Program
Ground Safety inspector Randy Hansen inspects the wing's the Lock-out/Tag-out and confined space programs with 124th Fighter Wing Ground Safety specialist Master Sgt. Kyle Freutel Sept. 19 at Gowen Field in Boise, Idaho. Proper LO/TO practices and procedures safeguard workers from the release of hazardous energy. The inspection was held as part of the wing's Environmental Safety Occupational Health Compliance Assessment Management Program, which runs Sept. 17 to 21.

Tech. Sgt. Gary White, an aircraft hydraulics specialist from the 124th Maintenance Squadron, ensures Material Safety Data Sheets are present and that chemicals are correctly labeled with Dr. Ching Chen, an Occupational Health inspector from the Environmental Safety Occupational Health Compliance Assessment Management Program team Sept. 19 at Gowen Field in Boise, Idaho. The weeklong inspection is held every three years.

124th ASOS Kin Appreciation Day
Maj. Shawn Scott and his family watch an A-10 Thunderbolt II make a strafing pass at Saylor Creek range Aug. 5 as part of the 124th Air Support Operations Squadron's Kin Appreciation Day. During the event family and loved ones were able to see up close the equipment joint terminal attack controllers use in training and combat, as well as eat lunch and watch A-10 Thunderbolt II's conduct strafing runs with their GAU-8 gatling cannon.

Air Gaurd runs in Sawtooth Relay
Staff Sgt. Robert Barney finishes the first of his two legs on a 62-mile relay race as part of team “For Wallace,” an Idaho Air National Guard team, on June 9, in the Sawtooth Mountain range, Idaho. Sergeant Barney is a member of the 124th Fighter Wing and is competing with fellow teammates from the Idaho Air Guard who are the single largest organization to participate in the 2012 Sawtooth Relay race, which had 6-person teams covering 62-miles through central Idaho, from Stanley to Sun Valley over elevations as high as 8700 feet.
