Pilots, ground troops train in Boise urban setting

Residents of Boise can expect to hear the A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft and see ground troops communicating with the pilots in and around the city neighborhoods and the Boise foothills July 16-25. These U.S. Air Force ground personnel are known as Tactical Air Control Specialists and they play a key role in the teamwork needed to successfully conduct urban combat operations.
