Chief Master Sergeant Lehi S. Hartwell

CMSgt Lehi S. Hartwell is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 124th Fighter Wing, Boise, Idaho. He represents the highest level of enlisted leadership and is the principal advisor to the Wing Commander. He is responsible for all enlisted matters related to force utilization, mission effectiveness, training, development, and morale for over 1,100 personnel.

CMSgt Hartwell enlisted in the Idaho Air National Guard in February of 2001, as a Munitions Systems Apprentice. He spent the first fifteen years of his career in the Munitions career field; working in all Munitions Sections; progressing to Senior Master Sergeant within the Munitions Flight. The highlight of his Munitions career was filling the position of Munitions Flight Chief while deployed to Incirlik Air Base (AB), Turkey for six months in 2016. His career accomplishments include nine deployments in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, FREEDOM SENTINEL and Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. Chief has also been mobilized stateside for Operation NOBLE EAGLE and two State of Idaho emergency declarations providing wildfire support.

Prior to his current position, Chief served as the 124th Mission Support Group Senior Enlisted Leader, Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho.  He was the lead enlisted advisor for 340 Airmen across five squadrons, providing guidance to senior leadership.
