CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT DAVID E. BECKMAN

Command Chief Master Sgt. David E. Beckman is the senior enlisted member of the 124th Wing. He advises the wing commander on matters affecting the welfare and morale of enlisted members of the 124th Wing.

Chief Beckman is a native of Idaho and graduated from Emmett High School in 1974. He enlisted in the United States Air Force later that year and completed Basic Training and Technical School in 1975. He served the 366th Fighter Wing at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho before transferring the Idaho Air National Guard in 1976. He was hired into the Idaho Air National Guard as a Federal Civil Service Technician in 1978.
Throughout his career, Chief Beckman held many positions in the aircraft maintenance career field, including maintenance operations job controller, dock chief, flight chief, production superintendent and C-130 aircraft maintenance superintendent. He has deployed to multiple stateside and overseas locations. He was selected as the 124th Wing command Chief in May 2007.
