Chief Master Sergeant Tammy S. Ladley currently serves as the senior enlisted member of the 124th Fighter Wing, where she advises the commander on matters affecting the morale, health, welfare and professional development of the over 900 enlisted members. She is the vital link between the commander, enlisted personnel and support agencies.
Chief Master Sergeant Ladley enlisted in the Air Force February of her senior year under the delay enlistment program (DEP). Chief Ladley shipped for Basic Military Training on December 2, 1985. Her first duty location was Holloman AFB, NM, as an Inventory Management Specialist. Chief Ladley was transferred to Sembach AB, Germany in November of 1987. During her three years in Germany, she was handpicked to work in four different areas of Base Supply. Chief Ladley transferred to Hill AFB, UT where she was assigned to the Component Repair Squadron (CRS) as Material Control Specialist for the F16 Avionic back shop. Chief Ladley separated from the Air Force in October 1993 fulfilling her military obligation. She joined the Idaho Air National Guard in November 1993 as a Logistic Specialist. In November 1994, she served as a Production Recruiter. Chief Ladley was selected to be the Recruiting Office Supervisor in October 1996. As the Recruiting Office Supervisor, the Recruiting Office consistently produced over 147 enlistments a year for a six-year period. Additionally, she was selected to be the Recruiting and Retention Superintendent (RRS) in June 2003. As the Superintendent, she was instrumental in establishing a referral program, realigning the recruiting chain of command and establishing a state recruiting awards program. She was consistently chosen by the National Guard Bureau to perform staff assistance visits on other ANG units, focusing on process improvement, regulatory clarification and compliance. She was instrumental in writing the course utilized to train the superintendents in the field and trained instructors to facilitate the course. Chief Ladley was recognized in 2010 by the National Guard Bureau Recruiting and Retention Director for outstanding contribution to the field of Recruiting and Retention. Prior to assuming her current position, Chief Ladley served as the Military Management Personnel Officer for Joint Force Headquarters, Boise, ID.
