COLONEL BRANDON ISAACS
Col. Brandon Isaacs is the 124th Medical Group Commander for the Idaho Air National Guard, Boise, Idaho. He is responsible for the medical readiness of the Fighter Wing's flying squadron, range squadron, and 16 support units, with more than 1,400 members. The 124th Medical Group is based at Gowen Field (Boise Air Terminal) in Boise, Idaho, and is a reserve component of the U.S. Air Force's Air Combat Command.

Col. Isaacs graduated from Boise State State University in 1986 earning his Bachelors degree in Business Administration Aviation Management and then went on to the University of Idaho to obtain necessary Pre-Med requirements. He attended medical school in Des Moines Iowa, graduating as a DO in 1998.  He received a HPSP scholarship from the USAF while there.  Then he completed a Family Medicine residency at Scott AFB. He served on active duty from 1998 through 2004 stationed at Scott AFB, Whiteman AFB and Mountain Home AFB. He then transferred to the reserve component assigned to Ellsworth AFB while serving as faculty in a residency program in Casper, Wyoming. He joined the Idaho Air National Guard in 2008 when he and his family moved to Boise. He has completed Air Command and Staff College in and Air War College. Col. Isaacs has served 4 humanitarian missions while in the reserve component to Paraguay, Niger, Senegal and Cambodia.  He has also served as the United States Air Force National Wrestling Team physician for over 13 years

He is a Senior Aeromedical Examiner for the FAA, and has been in medical education since leaving active duty, serving as faculty at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency in Casper, WY, Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in Boise, ID and now serves as the Assistant Dean of Graduate Medical Education for Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Yakima, Washington.
